New in Las Vegas this winter and 2020

Home ~ Blog

It is hard to keep up with all of the new experiences that seem to crop up in Las Vegas almost every month. Each year, more hotels, shows, bars, restaurants (you get the idea) are built, changing the flashy skyline faster than we can comment. And with each new endeavor, the city becomes a bigger beacon for visitors from all over the world to come party, gamble, eat, drink and play to their hearts content. With that being said, it is always good to stay in the know of up and coming ventures, so you can plan your dream holiday to Sin City the right way. Here is all that should be appearing over the next year, with an emphasis on all things BIG TIME.

Raiders Stadium

If we are talking big time- then the Raiders Stadium is at the top of the list. For anyone who has been to Vegas lately, you will probably have seen the looming building growing larger by the day. Set to open in 2020, the stadium will seat 65,000 football fans and host too many epic games to count during it’s lifetime. We can only imagine what the half time shows will look like, seeing as we are set in the entertainment capital.

MSG Sphere

The world has never been so futuristically inclined as it is now- and there is nothing like a huge space defying orb that will boggle your mind and change the way concerts are seen (and heard). Simply titled the MSG Sphere, this concert venue is the design of Madison Square Garden inventors, so we expect big things. Think high def screens, seats that literally pulse with the beats of the music, and options to increase or decrease your personal sound experience to fit your needs and expectations. The Sphere will be able to hold 23,000 guests, and will be situated just off the strip for easy access. If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to be in a Sci-Fi film… wonder no more.

Kaos pool gets a dome of its own

Speaking of domes, it has been a long time in the making for such a structure to be built over the Vegas hotel pools so guests can enjoy the summertime feels year round. Those dreams have become a reality, and Kaos pool will be the newest to house a cover that means the parties won’t stop once the weather takes a turn for the colder. In fact, the Kaos dome will be over 70 feet high (big enough to encase that towering naked sculpture we all know and love) and is sanctioned to be finished by Halloween for the club’s “Demon Dome” Halloween party. If we didn’t have you at ‘towering naked sculpture,’ then the headliner, which will be none other than Cardi B, should solidify your resolve to book those tickets.

Resort World

As if we didn’t have enough choice on where to stay here in the oasis, the newest addition to the strip hotels is due to open in December of 2020. Resorts World is bigger, more elaborate and exquisitely draped in all things 5 star. 59 stories of impressive rooms, restaurants and bars/lounges should have guests chomping at the bit to get a reservation here, with fans of the other Resort World properties vouching for their envy-inducing reputation. If it seems like we don’t have much to tell you yet, it is simply because the hotel and its amenities must be tried to be fully comprehended- no amount of text can do it justice.

Fuerza Bruta

If it feels like its been awhile since something new in the nightlife game has hit, the wait will soon be coming to an end. Fuerza Bruta, an interactive artistically directed show/ dance party extravaganza is opening at the Excalibur in 2020 to what will certainly be immeasurable excitement. Changing the way shows are produced and performed, this one has the audience placed in the center of the stage, (which is set in an outdoor high tech tent-style arena) while the show commences around them. It is meant to encourage an interactive vibe from the onlookers, shrugging off the old school of thought that the audience should be seen and not heard. We can bet it is going to be incredible, as the show originated in Buenos Aires and they don’t take their entertainment lightly down there.

While we are biding our time in high excitement awaiting these new venues and ventures, there are a few things that have opened this year that are still worth shouting about. The new Zipline at the Linq Hotel lets visitors soar over the promenade of shops, restaurants and bars before ending at the foot of the High Roller Wheel. A great day or night activity for all ages and adrenaline (or lack there-of) seekers. Eataly inside the Park MGM has debuted in 12 different countries(!) and is now serving Las Vegas foodies. Multiple stalls, bars and seating areas allow people to wander around, taste and watch as their favorite Italian dishes are made right before their eyes. The food is to die for, and the Aeperol Spritz is one for the books. And finally, the household name of Vanderpump has finally made its mark on Sin City, with Lisa Vanderpump herself spearheading the cocktail lounge inside Ceasars Palace Hotel. The dreamy setting is perfect for date night or cheeky drink before a big night on the town. You’ll be rubbing elbows with the stars, even if they are only famous on reality TV.

So mark your calendars, empty those saving accounts and start planning your whirlwind trip to Las Vegas. It is going to be a year of wonder, excitement and parties so extravagant you’ll never want to leave- but book fast because many others will be wanting to indulge in their share of the fun. The Best Pool Parties in Las Vegas

The Best Pool Parties in Las Vegas

Vegas is known for its wild parties, but the pool parties in Sin City are a whole new level of crazy. Scantily clad waitresses, cake throwing DJs and hundreds of people with no inhibitions will have you throwing your arms in the air every time that dirty beat drops. With summer fast approaching we’ve laid out the craziest pool parties Las Vegas has to offer so you can pack all the essentials to eat sleep rave and repeat during your visit.

Kaos is the newest addition to the Vegas nightlife scene- and while the club promises to be out of this world, their pool party is meant to rival even that of Encore Beach with its cracking Artist and DJ line ups and 73,000 sq ft layout. Get ready to be awed by two main pools, over 30 cabanas and performances by A-Listers such as Marshmello, Deadmau5 and Kaskade. As this is the first season Kaos will be open, it is sure to be one wild ride.

Encore Beach Club

Just when you thought Encore couldn’t get any better, the Vegas staple has introduced a new line up of Deep House DJs that will have your head spinning. The Encore pool party, which is already at the top of the day club game, has signed big names like Carl Cox and Black Coffee, and plans to host Elrow parties throughout the summer. Get your Ibiza gear ready and meet us at Encore.

Wet Republic

Wet has become a household name for anyone visiting Vegas. Those that visit often, or even first timers, know that anyone who is anyone goes to Wet Republic for the top notch DJs and hyped up day parties. House favorites like Calvin Harris and Tiesto both hold residencies at the MGM pool, while names like Steve Aoki and Martin Garrix headline there throughout the summer. If you want to get loose and enjoy some sick tunes while being sprayed by champagne bottles or having cake thrown at you by a world- renowned DJ- Wet is the place for you.

Daylight at the Mandalay Bay is what we would consider one of Vegas’ hidden gems. Built with a nod to the Ibiza Space stage in Spain, this little branch of paradise is known for hosting both House and Hip Hop DJs like Duke Dumont and Rick Ross. Once the weather really heats up, they open their sister night swim Eclipse, which allows guests to partake in all the day club debauchery under the lush desert night sky.

Marquee Pool boasts a slightly more intimate atmosphere, while still allowing guests to rage throughout the day. Located on the rooftop of the Cosmopolitan Hotel, this little oasis hosts huge DJ names and dedicates Sundays to Deep House enthusiasts. The layout offers guests the option of private cabanas with their own smaller pools, or the large center pool is the perfect place to be when the main attraction hits center stage. Champagne showers, great tunes and a rooftop oasis are the perfect ingredients for the ultimate Vegas pool experience

While there are a variety of pools to choose from while visiting Vegas, we encourage you to dabble in these wild and delightful pool parties during your stay. So Break out that SPF 50 because you’ll be drinking, dancing and diving into a whole new level of partying at some of the craziest pool parties in Las Vegas.

What to do in Vegas in May?

What to do in Vegas in May?

What to do in Vegas in May?

Home ~ Blog

May is one of the busiest months of the year for pool parties, especially on Memorial Day Weekend. Celebrities and VIPs flock to the biggest dayclubs while top-name DJs provide the entertainment. But that’s not all, May is host to a large number of celebrations and reasons to visit Las Vegas, see our list below;

Las Vegas is ready to welcome summer and the most significant event in May is the Electric Daisy Carnival. The biggest electronic dance music festival in the country welcomes about 140,000 people each night over a three-day weekend at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Past headliners have included the Chainsmokers, Zedd, Tiesto, Calvin Harris and other top DJs. But as always, event promoter Insomniac insists the real “headliners” are the fans who show up year after year.

EDC was formerly held in June, but event organizers bumped it up a month last year to cut down on high winds and hot temperatures. While the music and atmosphere are the same, the weather is now better than ever. If you’ve ever thought about attending the festival, you may want to give it a shot in 2019.

Memorial Day traditionally marks the start of summer and easily marks one of the biggest weekends in Las Vegas. Book your hotel early. Memorial Day Weekend runs May 24-27 this year and as always, the crowds will be huge. Expect long lines to restaurants, nightclubs and pool parties. Fortunately, you can stay up to date with club schedules & table prices.

If you want to avoid the chaos of the Strip, you may prefer the beaches, boating and jet skis of Lake Mead and Lake Las Vegas, each just minutes outside the metropolitan area. Lake Havasu in Arizona and Lake Powell, which borders Arizona and Utah, are both worth a road trip as well.

It’s not quite as busy as Memorial Day Weekend, but Cinco de Mayo definitely packs in the crowds on the Strip. Think of it as the perfect pregame party for summer. Bars and restaurants offer deals and discounts on Mexican food and Margaritas. Traditionally, Vegas likes to host a big-name boxing fight during Cinco de Mayo Weekend too.

It’s safe to say Vegas Uncork’d is the biggest culinary event of the year in Las Vegas. The event typically lasts four days with names like Gordon Ramsay, Guy Savoy and Giada de Laurentiis leading a series of tastings, dinners, brunches and anything else you can imagine at their namesake restaurants. Everything culminates at the Grand Tasting at the Garden of the Gods pool at Caesars Palace.

Another pop diva is coming to Las Vegas. Christina Aguilera will debut a new residency called “The Xperience” at the Zappos Theater inside Planet Hollywood on May 31. Additional dates are scheduled through June, September and October. The singer of hits like “Beautiful” and “Genie in a Bottle” has kept a relatively low profile in recent years. Her 2018 tour was the singer’s first in more than a decade and included a stop at the Colosseum at Caesars, which no doubt was something a test-run for a residency. (Both venues are under the Caesars Entertainment umbrella.) The shows will help fill the void of Britney Spears’ cancelled residency at rival Park Theater, which was scheduled to run throughout the year.

VIP Table & Bottle Service at a Pool Party

Celebrities and VIPs flock to the biggest dayclubs while top-name DJs provide the entertainment.  The best way to enjoy these wild events is with a cabana or daybed, which typically require at least a $1,000 commitment toward food and drinks. Request a cabana or daybed through Upbeat Vegas to learn about comps and special deals.

What’s New in Las Vegas 2019?

What’s New in Las Vegas 2019?

What’s New in Las Vegas 2019?

Home ~ Blog

There can be no question that Las Vegas is a never-ending spiral of new and enticing restaurants, bars, casinos and clubs. This city was built on change and advancement, with new venues cropping up faster than people can keep track. The term ‘out with the old and in with the new’ is Sin City’s adopted slogan, so it is no surprise that 2019 will bring many changes and exciting additions. Lets get right into it so you can start booking those spring/summer holidays, because these are some things you do not want to miss.

For all the foodies out there, we are sure you’ve seen the drool-worthy videos of edible cookie dough, but until now these trends have only hit cities like New York or London. Well, pack those stretchy pants because Doughp (said ‘dope’) is going to join the Miracle Mile Shops roster, located inside Planet Hollywood Hotel. Delicious, mouthwatering cookie dough will be served in ice cream cones, and a multitude of flavors like Minty AF will keep everyone happy, and maybe a little chubbier, all vacation long.

Robbie Williams

For all you Brits out there just buzzing to get your short shorts out and enjoy a little time in the Vegas sun, we’ve got even more good news for you. Robbie Williams is doing a residency at the Wynn Hotel, with shows starting in March and running through the summer. For those who aren’t familiar with his songs, fear not- he is on the level of some of the old school favorites like Justin Timberlake and Michael Buble, though unlike the latter Williams appears more than just around Christmas time. Check out the Wynn’s website for details.

Dry Bars

Ladies have always had an advantage when it comes to salons and spas- cocktails, pedicures, manicures and hair styling just come hand and hand. Being pampered has always been a time honored classic in Vegas, and with the Dry Bars that have popped up around the strip, such activities are even more accessible to visitors and locals alike in Vegas. Well, step aside ladies because the newest addition to the Cosmopolitan Hotel is the Barbershop Cuts and Cocktails. Basically the same idea as the services being provided for women for years, this concept allows their male patrons to sip (manly) cocktails like Old Fashioned and the like while getting those fades sharpened up. Being pampered should belong to both sexes, so get ready to indulge lads.

The Palms

The Palms has been a Vegas staple for as long as we can remember, so it is standard practice that is is receiving a massive makeover/revamp. The iconic hotel, which once was known for it’s Playboy Suites, is renovating the premises to include a new rooftop nightclub, which has already opened and replaced Ghostbar (now called Apex), and a handful of new restaurants meant to rival the likes of Gordan Ramsay’s. It is rumored the new pool will be one of the biggest in Vegas, with their pool party signing some big name acts once opened. $620 million has gone into the update, so be prepared to be awed.

As technology continues to advance beyond most people’s wildest dreams, Las Vegas continues to modernize every square inch of the strip, staking their place as one of the most impressive cities in the world. Another addition to the already growing number of concert venues will be the MSG Sphere, a 500 foot wide by 360 foot tall sphere meant to house concerts, which will reportedly change the way concerts are heard and seen- we are talking added internet audio speakers in each seat for a surround sound experience for each guest. Construction was begun in 2018 and the Sphere is reported to be open later this year.

Weed Dispensaries

Weed cafes have long been a dream for anyone who enjoys the occasional, or regular, smoke. But until recently, recreational use of marijuana was limited to a person’s private residence in Las Vegas, despite being legalized for purchase. Now every stoner’s dream has finally been realized, with smoking lounges coming soon to Sin City. We reckon it’s about time, seeing as this city was built on illicit promiscuity and debauchery. A little cannabis here and there (in our opinion) is on the low end of trouble a person can get themselves in to, so why not allow tourists and locals to indulge in a more social setting while raising the bar on this city’s ‘cool factor.’ There is still a lot of yellow tape, but it is a pretty sure bet these cafes will be seen sometime in 2019- and we are stoked.

Elrow Comes to Las Vegas

Vegas has, for a long time, been partial to two genres of music within the clubs- House/EDM and Hip Hop. But that is all about to change after the Elrow Family performed at the Wynn last year. Now, after rave reviews about the addition of Deep House to Vegas clubs, the Wynn Nightlife properties will be hosting other Deep House DJs the likes of Jamie Jones, Carl Cox and many more. No longer must fans of this genre idly bob their heads to top 40 bangers- lets get it with these iconic legends- Vegas pool parties will never be the same again.

Finally, for all you club hoppers or even those that just dabble, the highly anticipated news that Drake might be performing at one of the most popular clubs in Las Vegas was confirmed when he told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that he planned to do 12 shows over the next couple years. XS, which is a favorite among Vegas regulars, locals and occasional visitors alike, has hosted Drake before, and would definitely boost their already powerhouse-filled roster of performers from incredible to out of this world. Keep an eye out for dates and details.

Listen, we could go on and on with all things Vegas 2019, but the list above is more than enough validation to make you crack out those savings and book a flight to spend a few days under the desert sun with us. Contact us for all things Las Vegas, including hotel packages, excursions, shows, day and nightclubs and restaurants. We look forward to seeing you.
